Mother's Day Multicolour Block Printing with Monique Martin

Articulate Ink is very excited to be hosting guest artist Monique Martin in the studio on May 12 2019 for an extra special Mother’s Day workshop. This is the second event in our mini workshop series with Monique. If you are interested in a beginner level course, please see the first event here.

Throughout the day students will learn about adding a second layer to a linocut block print, carve their own block and print a small edition from start to finish. By the end of this class you’ll have an edition of prints of your very own and will be provided with a step-by-step handout on linocuts so you can continue printmaking on your own. This class is suitable for individuals that have previously taken a block printing workshop.

There will be a 30 minute break for lunch partway through the class. Students are welcome to stay in the studio and continue working during this time, but please note that lunch is not provided.
